Amy Mager, DACM, Lic. Ac., Dipl. O.M. (NCCAOM), FABORM, is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine who has been working with women, mothers and children, and men with acute and chronic diseases for over 23 years. Amy was first licensed in CA, where acupuncturists are licensed as primary care providers.

Amy Mager was headhunted out to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Cradle Maternal Wellness Center from the day it opened until the day it was sold. She has been practicing since 1990 and recently completed her FPD, first professional doctorate in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

Amy was a Breastfeeding Peer Counsellor for the Hampshire County WIC for 11 years and through this program became a Certified Lactation Counselor. Amy has birthed six children and nursed for a total of 16 years.
Amy has obtained her first professional doctorate from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicien and is a Fellow of ABORM, the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. She has also taken the End Of Life Doula Certificate Program at the University of VT.

She is also the American Society of Acupuncturists Vice Chair and immediate past President of the Acupuncture Society of Massachusetts. She continues to do advocacy on the state and national level to obtain insurance and medicare coverage for acupuncture as part of evidence based non-pharmacological treatment for pain.

Dr. Amy has been licensed to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1990. She trained in CA where she was first licensed as a primary care provider. Amy graduated Magna Cum Laude from Brandeis University, and earned her Doctorate in Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine and Integrative Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2017.She apprenticed with midwife and acupuncturist Dr. Raven Lang OMD for two years. She has been in private practice in CA and MA for over 27 years. Amy was the staff acupuncturist at Cradle Maternal Wellness Center and is co-owner of The Wellness House in Northampton, a multidisciplinary healing center. Amy is a trained birth assistant & childbirth educator through Informed Birth and Parenting and trained CLC. She has most recently completed her doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine apps of the College of Oriental medicine, and became a fellow of the American Board of Oriental reproductive medicine this year.

Amy has been published in the books Parenting From the Heart and Round the Circle as well as on Huffington Post. She has a bi-weekly radio segment with Bob Flaherty on WHMP, “Healing Outside the Box, Inside the Heart”.
